One book. One choice. One epic journey.
To ignite your spark!

"Fear of the Unknown, is a gift for all ages. Robert has masterfully woven ageless wisdom, ancient Greek philosophy and everyday life lessons into a magical alchemy of literature on par with the Harry Potter series. In a time and age where fear and uncertainty have deeply permeated our global culture, this book is a beacon of light, illuminating a path of divine guidance. From the first page to the last, you will be enchanted, enlightened and delighted on this heroes journey."
—Brian Luke Seaward, Ph.D. author of the bestselling books, Stand Like Mountain, Flow Like Water, and Quiet Mind, Fearless Heart.
"Robert’s book is much more than an adventure story—he has written a unique fable that champions the virtues of wisdom, courage, and love."
—Darrin Donnelly, Bestselling Author of the Sports for the Soul series
"The book is a gift. It teaches children to know their worth, to believe in others, and to choose kindness and courage. These are timeless lessons, rooted in love and resilience. It’s the kind of book I wish I had as a child, and the kind I wish I could have read to my own children at bedtime, sparking the conversations that help young hearts grow strong. In a world where children deserve to be seen and heard, this book gives them that light."
—Johnathan Stanley, Bestselling Author of Purposeful Performance
“Robert’s story makes ancient wisdom feel urgent, relevant, and magical. He distills Stoicism into striking, accessible lines without dumbing it down. I can only describe this as true philosophical clarity. The book reads like a superhero origin story but with philosophical weight, ethical tension, and sibling humor layered in. It’s a story that doesn’t portray Stoicism as a subject but a way of living. Fate and hardship invite - not impose - virtue. That. Is. Profound.”
— James Newman II, Editor.

To Parents, Teachers, and Coaches:
Why This Book Matters
This book isn’t just an escape from the world.
It’s a way to help kids face it.
I didn’t write Epic & Kimura to distract kids from real life.
I wrote it to prepare them for it.
Yes, it’s a fantasy. There are powers, ancient coins, and epic battles.
But underneath it all—it’s about real things:
Fear. Pressure. Self-doubt.
Wanting to belong.
Wondering if you’re enough.
And what makes this story feel real?
It was lived before it was written.
The foundation came from life—real kids, real moments, and real growth.
I’ve watched my children face hard things.
I’ve seen students struggle.
I’ve taught on mats, in classrooms, and coached in the arena—and in corporate.
This story was built from all of it.
It’s meant to entertain, yes.
But more than that, it’s meant to equip.
To help kids stand up when life gets heavy.
To show them that fear doesn’t disqualify them—it’s just part of the path.
To remind them: Power doesn’t define you––your choices do.
The world’s tough. We know that.
Kids don’t need stories that pretend everything’s fine.
They need stories that remind them who they can become.
And in a noisy, uncertain world, kids don’t just need an escape—they need to know they carry a spark.

My Story
Stoicism changed my life, and in turn, it changed my children's lives.
The greatest challenge in learning is not just knowing—it’s living what we know. The Stoics call this becoming a Warrior of the Mind.
The Epic & Kimura Series follows two children on a Heroes Journey where they apply the lessons they learn. And like all great adventures theirs begins with a choice:
Who will I become?
Join Epic & Kimura as they embark on a fun, mystical, and deeply symbolic adventure. Inspired by my children's lives and the lessons they've learned through Stoicism, this series is my way of sharing that journey and its impact with the world.

ONE MILLION HANDS
1 Million Hands Isn't just a Number
It’s a symbol.
To a child, 1 million is unfathomable. It’s enormous. It's the kind of number that stretches the imagination—big enough to feel like it could change the world.
And that’s exactly the point.
Because children don’t think small.
They dream in color.
They believe in possibility.
They know that something massive can start with just one spark.
This Movement Isn’t About Numbers.
It’s about impact.
The 1 Million Hands Movement is built on a simple but powerful idea:
When you pass something meaningful forward, you create a ripple effect.
And ripples can become waves.
Waves can shift tides.
This is about giving kids the chance to be part of something bigger than themselves—something that reminds them that they matter, that they can lead, that they can ignite change.
One book.
One child.
One spark.
One million hands.
This is the Spirit of Epic & Kimura.
It’s a call to action:
Let’s do something massive together.
Let’s change the world.
What if One Book Could Change a Life?
In Epic & Kimura, two children are given a gift—not just a book, but a new way of seeing the world.
A mindset.
A mirror.
A map.
It helps them face what they fear and discover who they really are.
As I wrote Fear of the Unknown, I realized I was writing the book I needed when I was 12.
Because that boy—like so many kids today—was carrying questions, doubts, and pressure he didn’t know how to name.
If I could hand him one book to prepare him for life’s challenges...
This would be it.
That’s Why I’m Launching the 1 Million Hands Movement.
To put this story into the hands of 1 million kids who need it.
Kids who need a spark.
Kids who need to know they’re not alone.
Kids who need to know they were meant to illuminate, not burn.
Because if just one of those children reads the story and sees their world differently, it can change their life.
And when one life changes—it changes the world around them.

Because changing one life is worth it.
But why stop at one?
Let’s impact a million.
